What does it really take for a group of people to feel like a community?
When are we "us"?

The performance is about community and invites the audience into a universe that explores the nature of community.

Humans are naturally herd animals, and no matter where we go in life, we must relate to the community around us - both when we feel part of something bigger and when we are on the outside. The performance gives you the opportunity to think about how the different communities you are part of shape your life.

Each participant is given a base with props to step into the performance, where the exploration of community becomes a here-and-now exploration mixed with aesthetic images and different moods. Along the way, we gain insight into the inner world of young people through their own words and voices.

Sanseværk's trademark is sensory performances that focus on the immediate, on the existence we all face on a daily basis and have to come to terms with. Playfulness and curiosity take centre stage in an atmospheric setup where the audience is gently invited to play along. PLEASE NOTE The audience is seated in different ways at floor level. Strobe lights will be used in short sequences in the performance.
