Welcome to Egnsteatret. A vibrant base for performing arts and community. Artistic freedom has its will here. Performing arts with courage, where innovation always has its place. Entrenched patterns are loosened, imagination is given free rein and art speaks out. Here, diversity is a strength and community is a driving force.
We put community-driven performing arts policy on the agenda - both artistically and organisationally. We are located in the centre of Vordingborg in the performing arts centre Pavillon K.
Our repertoire ranges from the intimate to the monumental - from experimental and sensuous performances to visually stunning shows. There is something for the young, the local and the traveller looking for something special. What they have in common is the high quality of the performing arts and an uncompromising approach to supporting and exploring artistic expression.
We work to develop and maintain a local environment where art is present in everyday life and where both new and familiar voices can grow.
The regional theatre in Vordingborg Municipality was called Cantabile 2 until 2023.
But with new management, the theatre changed its name to Egnsteatret i Vordingborg Kommune in January 2024.

In the centre of Vordingborg, in the town's old community centre, a living performing arts heart is beating. Pavilion K.
A performing arts centre, a production house. A meeting place. A community.

Egnsteatret is supported by Vordingborg Municipality, the Danish Arts Foundation and the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces under a four-year agreement period.
