RE(W)RITE!

RE(W)RITE! is an immersive performance, a ritual space ridden of fictional elements, roles or characters, that takes the audience on a multisensorial journey.

RE(W)RITE! invites its guests to a universe of silent, intimate and shared experiences. What are the borders of intimacy? What does it take for us to be transparent and sincere, even in the encounter with perfect strangers?
What does it take for us to make ourselves available for intimacy, without the urge to hide or protect ourselves?

Creating frameworks for such unique encounters, is the foundation of Egnsteatret’s Human Specific Performances.
Egnsteatret is, since 1990, the Regional Theatre of the municipality of Vordingborg, Denmark.
The presentation of RE(W)RITE! at CPH STAGE 2022 is supported by the municipality of Frederiksberg.

RE(W)RITE! opened as a major installation for 15 performers in 8 large exposition spaces in collaboration with Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art in Copenhagen in May 2021.
It was later performed in its new and present touring format at Pergine festival in Italy, in July 2021.
