HOLD ON! Invites the audience into a world of legend where physical theatre, circus, and moments of joyful chaos merge, as reflections on everyday life and the world meet the unexpected. HOLD ON! is a celebration of relationships, curiosity, and shared experiences. Take your friend by the hand and hold on to the moment.

At the festival, we're presenting some very special FLASH! VIBES. We'll feel fabulous as we groove with DJ KLOG in the lounge or when we have a MOCKTAIL PARTY, where with delicious drinks we'll chat, dance and perhaps take a trip to the OPEN STAGE to do some improv. We're going to MORNING DANCE with Næstved Avantgarden, to add some sparkle to life and feel the pulse of performing arts deep in our hearts.
Workshop on Weather Sense – Can you write the sun warm?

How do we perceive the weather – in our bodies, in our language, in our movement?
In this workshop, the artist group WunschMachine invites you into a sensory exploration of weather as an artistic driving force. With performance artist Helga Rosenfeldt-Olsen, author and illustrator Sonja Winckelmann Thomsen and set designer Sigrid Astrup We explore the weather through words, images and masks.
What does rain sound like on paper? Can a storm have a voice? Using the weather as a starting point, we will work with short writing exercises and create masks that give form to wind, sun, fog, and thunder. The workshop will culminate in a shared artistic expression where text and visual elements merge. OBS: The workshop can be experienced on its own or as part of a combined programme with the movement & dance workshop by WunchMaschine (see elsewhere in the programme).

Where the lonely often feel like spectators of others' lives, here the audience becomes spectators to the lonely person's life in the black hole deep beneath them. Sort Hul is produced by Egnsteatret in collaboration with Teatret Aspendos and you can read more about it HERE

Learn to apply different effects yourself. We'll start with which effects you'd like to learn, and then we'll get started: put makeup on your friend as a tiger, zombie, or Lord Voldemort, or learn how to apply makeup for wounds and other effects on your arm.
The open workshops are where you can immerse yourself in the many aspects of performing arts that take place before the final performance is seen on stage. The workshop will be open for you to peek in and see what others are doing, or to immerse yourself in a mini-production of puppets, costumes, sound, makeup, or other elements.

”From Dust You Shall Come” is a puppet workshop where you have the opportunity to bring your secret ghosts to life in puppet form. Using leftover materials from stage productions” scenography, your unknown creature is awakened and steps vividly into the theatre space. In the workshop, we recreate and rediscover the marotte puppet, ”The Simple Puppet," and incorporate its simple puppet mechanics. Together with scenographer Kristian Knudsen, we will explore the use of both industrial and natural materials, sourced from fabric scraps at the sewing table, wastepaper baskets, the scenography workshop, or the church woods. The puppet can perform its own death on the small puppet stage set up for the occasion, or leave its mark on the living exhibition in the bar. Read more about Kristian here

This workshop is an invitation to (re)discover stories from a different perspective: from the tiny, the hidden, the dismissed and the forgotten. Through the lens of small cameras and using (mostly) bicycle lights, we will explore what lies beyond what we might know of everyday objects, textures and materials, and how a simple moving light can bring forth new and unexpected narratives, opening up poetic and imaginative spaces.
Step into the dark room and let’s play! Emilie is a French multidisciplinary artist, physical theatre performer and theatre maker. She works across stage performance, moving image and multimedia practices.

For Theatre Play, we try our hand at things the participants are curious about: improvisation exercises, melodrama, voice or body. Christina trained at the Acting School at Odense Theatre from 2005-2009, and has worked freelance ever since in theatres, film, TV and as a teacher at Teatret Masken. Read more here. Om Christina

Here, we'll delve into the techniques of partner acrobatics, as well as creative ways to use them, with a partner or in smaller groups. We'll go through the acrobatics with an extra focus on how to “spot” (ensure no one gets hurt) and how to continue training the techniques after the workshop.
Whether you are an experienced gymnast, dancer, or circus performer, you are most welcome. Come and train with us, work up a sweat – and be inspired to play with balance, strength, and cooperation!

In our workshop together we will look into some of the unique qualities of Shakespeare’s writing. By trying some of the speeches we will encounter the power of verse. The workshop will be conducted in English.
Jonathan is a British actor and stage artist who has been living in Denmark for 10 years. He has worked across theatre, television, and film in Europe and the USA. He has worked in grammar schools and drama schools in the UK, Denmark, and Germany. Read more Hello Jonathan here

Would you like to learn how to fight without actually hitting anyone? Come to a workshop with Anne Sofie Reumert from Kompagni47, who, with her fusion of theatre and acrobatics, will teach you how to create fantastic choreographies that look wild and dangerous to the audience.

Are you dreaming of trying your hand at aerial hoop? This workshop is for beginners aged 11 and over, and requires no prior experience. In the workshop, you will be introduced to basic techniques in aerial hoop. We will work with simple exercises, spins and short sequences, focusing on strength, body control, balance and air play – all within a safe and supportive environment. The workshop is a fun and challenging way to move, and allows participants to experience the joy of circus and aerial hoop – regardless of their physical level. See Me (Overse Me) – A Growth Layer Performance by Solhverv

Best friends and flatmates; Amelia and Vilma, live vastly different lives and each have their own major challenges in their love lives. When Amelia is dumped by her boyfriend, she completely loses it in her search for the happy life, so Vilma decides to take her camping. Unfortunately, the trip doesn't turn into a calm girls' trip where Amelia can get over her breakup. For they meet a young man who, without knowing it, ignites an already smouldering conflict that threatens to shatter their friendship forever. However, when things look bleakest, it turns out the stranger is precisely the glue the pair of friends need so they can find each other again.
Note from Solhverv: We will be performing selected scenes from our first play, which is not yet fully produced. Therefore, what we are showing at FLASH! will serve as a sort of appetiser to see the entire play in the future.

The bombs are raining down outside, but you're invited to a lavish wedding dinner, so the war can wait. Inside, it's safe, warm, and there's enough romance in the air to forget about everything and only worry about the little things – how lovely! This is a safe space where you can truly realise yourself and your image and just be an individual in peace and quiet. Perhaps you'll find the love of your life? Don't think too much, just keep eating…
Teater SAPO's debut production ”Bare Spis Videre...” is a free interpretation of Shakespeare's comedy ”Much Ado About Nothing”, which follows a group of characters' petty conflicts, all while they refuse to acknowledge the war they have all just returned from. With Shakespeare as a perspective, our privileged behaviour with petty principles and unnecessary drama in a world in chaos is highlighted. The production is supported by Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, UngKult and DATS.

A visual music performance about the paradoxes of joy in a late-capitalist society by Scared Monsters Collective. .
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag, drifting on the breeze, wanting to sustain what? Are you afraid to split at the seam? What if joy, as you understand it, is just a grand script?
JOY/mixed feelings takes place in the universe of late capitalism, where happiness is a commodity you can attain by following a very specific script. Still not happy? Too bad, just move back to start and try again. In JOY/mixed feelings, music, dance, and video collide in a universe of hyperpop, red clown noses, vroom vroom, and oversized princess bows, where we investigate power, control, and the commercialisation of the joy we encounter in the ideals and objects we surround ourselves with. With its playful expression and pop aesthetics, JOY/mixed feelings explores who has the power to create a happy life. It questions the norms that regulate our emotions and attempts to find out how we can reclaim joy as a force that is not only pleasant but also confrontational and transformative.
Strobe lighting will be used in the performance.

Workshop in Weather Sense – can you dance with the wind?
How do we perceive the weather – in our bodies, in our language, in our movement?
In this workshop, the artist group WunschMachine invites you into a sensory exploration of the weather as an artistic driving force. With Helga Rosenfeldt-Olsen and dance Sine Krag We investigate the weather through movement, narrative, and sensation. How does a breeze move through the body? What does it feel like to be a downpour or gentle snow? Through playful exercises and guided improvisations, we translate weather phenomena into bodily explorations and create a shared choreographic expression.

FLASH! SCENE is where you'll meet the young, fresh performing artists who, in professional settings, get the opportunity to showcase what they're working on daily. You'll be presented with all genres within performing arts, from new circus to storytelling theatre, and with young people from across the region.
Mid-show / 15+ / 2-4pm
In this workshop, Marco Grimnitz from Ryslinge Folk High School will focus on strengthening participants' presence, awareness, and immediate response. Through bodily and sensory exercises, participants will somatically explore how action can arise directly from experience rather than from will or psychological analysis.
The work is based on the relationship between sensation, impulse, and action and develops the ability to:
listen actively – both to oneself and to the fellow player react precisely in the moment maintain physical grounding in intense or open scenic situations.
The workshop is based on elements from Meisner, Lucid Body, and Carl Jung.
No prior knowledge of methods is required – only curiosity, a willingness to work physically, and attention to what arises in the moment.
Da the workshop is very physical, movable clothing that you can sweat in is recommended.

In this workshop, we will work with hip-hop as movement, rhythm, and community.
We are exploring bounce, groove, and textures. There will be exercises, repetitions, and a short sequence where you can feel how the music moves you and how you can move with it. It is not about dancing in a specific way, but about being in the rhythm.
You are welcome, whether you have been dancing for a long time or don't know where your right leg is.
Malou Dee teaches with a focus on musicality, presence and personal expression. With a background in dance theatre, contemporary and urban styles, she creates a playful and investigative space where technique and freedom meet.

This workshop is for you who want to learn to make beats and produce your own music with guidance from Sofie. We will work with all the layers of music production: It's up to you whether you want to work on creating tracks for your own songs, make electronic music without vocals, create music for film, or make soundscapes for theatre. In the workshop, we will play with everything from lyrics, harmony, beats, and basslines, to the music's form and final expression. Sofie is a composer and musician trained at the South Danish Academy of Music and Performing Arts. iPads and equipment will be available on loan from Vordingborg Music School.

During the workshop, we train our body, voice, and imagination through games and exercises. Later in the workshop, we work with scenes that we develop together through improvisation. In these scenes, we focus on playing out ‘action’ rather than emotions.

Here we explore hip-hop as a personal language and how the body can speak, react, and express us through dance. We investigate groove, flow, and musicality and play with freestyle and small open passages where you can listen inwards and let the movement come from there. We create a space that allows for diversity, presence, and courage. A place where it's okay to try, fail, and discover something new.

For Theatre Play, we try our hand at the things that participants are curious about. We can test improvisation exercises, melodrama, voice, body, and we can shape our time according to what the group is up for. Christian is trained at the School of Stage Arts and has worked freelance ever since, with, among others, Teater Fyren og Flammen, Cantabile 2 – and his own theatre Departementet.
