The house where I live

Do you also have a head full of thoughts?
Do you know when the voices inside your head are chattering away and you're not sure which one to listen to?

The House Where I Live Together with guitarist Søren Ipland and percussionist Benjamin Barfod, Jens Andersen welcomes the rush of thoughts in a brutally honest, self-disclosing, playful, quirky and perhaps even funny musical journey inside actor Jens Andersen's head.
Here you can meet the inner child in the nursery, the black janitor in the coal cellar, and some of the other types - and perhaps archetypes.

In a very special soundscape with a delicious guitar and a sea of percussion instruments that few people know the names of, you get insistent music and a lot of words.

Jens has scribbled down what those inner voices are actually saying and created a special musical universe in which the many words can unfold. The music is co-narrative, creating moods that contribute as much as the words and affect us on a more subconscious level. Music gets us beyond language, out of our heads and speaks to us in a different way.

After the storytelling concert, Jens Andersen invites you to an after talk where he wants to open up a conversation with the audience about all the voices that many of us carry around with us, creating space for us to share our experiences with each other.

By Jens artistically and playfully facilitating a conversation after the storytelling concert, we can together create greater awareness of the thoughts/voices and become better at creating peace of mind by practising choosing on and off in them - going in and out of the spaces where they live.
