STAGES of the Institute of Interconnected Realities

STAGES is a book launch and a performative text by Jonathan Bonnici, which is here brought to life in a performance by Jonathan Bonnici and Line Svendsen.

As text unfolds STAGES like a series of charged visual fragments—each one a complete scene in itself—moving from the intimate to the infinite, from the inner workings of the body to the social corpus, from the everyday to the divine. It begins with a purification and moves through a choreographed progression, towards emptiness, where everything dissolves. The stage, once populated, now stands empty; only the witnesses remain.

At the Henning Christiansen Archive in Stege, the text is brought to life in a performance by author Jonathan Bonnici and actor Line Svendsen. Performed in English and Danish—intertwining, overlapping, colliding—the voices shift between dialogue and dissonance, clarity and cacophony.
