Children's Performing Arts Festival – Ivallu's First Song

A gripping Greenlandic heroic ballad about a girl who saves her family. How does a song come into being? And can it save lives? Ivalus First Song is a moving tale about a little Greenlandic heroine who miraculously creates her very first song – and in that same moment, saves her family. The performance is about courage, about those moments when something greater takes over, and about breaking the rules when it's most necessary.

Inspired by the polar explorer Knud Rasmussen's words from The Great Sled Journey:
“Songs are thoughts sung out with breath when people are moved by great power and can no longer make do with ordinary speech.”
